GETTING HERE
To get to the Acacia House Inn, please take Route 3 from Ellsworth toward Bar Harbor until you come to a stop light (approximately 18 miles). Turn left on Mount Desert Street (which is still Route 3) and take your third left onto High Street. This is a one-way street. The Acacia is at the end of the street on the right.

From the south: Follow Interstate 95 through to Bangor (exit 45-A - 395),
which sets you on Route 1A to Ellsworth, and follow Route 3 to Bar Harbor. Another more scenic option is to take I-95 to Augusta, Route 3 to Belfast, coastal Route 1 to Ellsworth, then back to Route 3 into Bar Harbor.

From the north: Take Interstate 95 south to Bangor, exit onto 395 east, and follow directions above.

From the west: Take Route 2 through Dover-Foxcroft to Bangor, and follow directions above.

By air: Bar Harbor is serviced by a local airport, the Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport, located just 12 miles from the village, and by Bangor International Airport, only 50 miles away.

By bus: Concord Trailways is a regional bus line serving Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. The Bar Harbor-Bangor Shuttle offers up to five trips a day from Bangor to Bar Harbor. Advance reservations are required.

By water: While there is no regularly scheduled ferry, there are many suitable moorings for power or sail. The Harbormaster can be reached at 207-288-5571.
