Health and Safety at the Inn
To minimize contact between guests, daily housekeeping will be limited during your stay. We will provide fresh towels and trash removal upon request. We will sanitize high-touch areas in the inn throughout the day, and will use air purifiers to assist our cleaning. We are continuing to monitor cleaning trends as well as following the direction of the Maine CDC. We will update this document as practices evolve and change.
Food in the Time of Covid
Breakfast has historically been a high point for our guests at the Acacia House, and our safety precautions do not change our commitment to providing you with a delicious meal to start your day! Guests have the choice to eat in our dining room or porch, in their room, or at an outside table.
Spending the day in Acadia? Let us provide you with a gourmet lunch to take out on your adventure — lunch options are here on our website. Please order lunches by 4 pm the day before you want them, and we’ll have them ready for you after breakfast. Heading out on an early boat ride or bike trip? We can always make breakfast (and lunch) to go for early excursions.
You are also welcome to bring take-out from in-town restaurants back to the inn. We’re happy to provide plates, cutlery, glasses, and napkins.
General Policies
Check-in is from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Prior arrangements may be made for guests arriving after 6:00 pm.
Check-out is 11:00 am.
A one-night deposit on stays of two nights, or 50 percent of the total reservation for longer stays, is required to reserve your room. Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of deposit. The balance of your reservation is due upon arrival. We accept one-night stays at our discretion. Rates are subject to a 9% Maine state lodging tax.
All rates assume double occupancy. We will add $35.00 per extra person. Rooms 7, 8, and 9 are the only rooms that can accommodate more than two guests.
Rates include a full gourmet breakfast and afternoon refreshments. Packed lunches are an extra charge.
As we are a small inn, cancellations affect us greatly. If you find it necessary to cancel or change your reservation, please call 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival so your deposit can be refunded. If you must cancel with less than 14 days notice, we will refund your deposit for as many nights as we are able to re-rent the room. If we are not able to re-rent the room for any portion of your original reservation, we will issue you a gift certificate for future use with no date restrictions, for the remainder of the deposit. Day of arrival cancellations and early departures will not be refunded.
For the comfort of all guests, the Acacia House is a smoke-free and pet-free establishment.
We offer discounts for COA alumni and travelers who arrive entirely by public transportation.
